The 8th Christmas Collection

One of the funniest Christmas songs ever is "The Elf's Lament" by the Barenaked Ladies. And one of the weirdest is without any doubt "24 December" by Pizzicato Five.
As on all of the BoBW comps there's a Belgian track too: this time it's a protest song about weapons being silent on Christmas day: "Kerstmis is dien dag dat ze niet schieten".
"Les Anges Dans Nos Campagnes" is also to be found on the cd "Christmas" by Bruce Cockburn, the best traditional Xmas album ever.
And this week there's an extra track (for after Christmas): do listen to the gorgeous track "Soon After Christmas" by Stina Nordenstam. Do close your eyes and let this sweet and melancholic song conquer you.

Enjoy the music, and have some wonderful Christmas days....

Thanks for making this blog a must-visit year after year.

And the Stina Nordenstam track is a must, depressing as it is.
