Soul Ballet dancing towards house and techno

Soul Ballet is een muzikaaal project van acteur, producer, arrangeur, programmeur en multi-instrumentalist Rick "R.K." Kelly. Soul Ballet's muziek is smooth contemporary jazz, met electronische beats, een wat weemoedig gevoel en een pakkende sfeer. De chill-out sound van Soul Ballet zou je kort door de bocht kunnen omschrijven als een combinatie van Enigma, Moby, de Café del Mar chill-out sound en de muziek van Paul Hardcastle
Kelly wordt af en toe bijgestaan door een ritmesectie, en door een stel gastvocalisen, waaronder Stefani Montiel, Annika en Billy Valentine.

Op het nieuwe album 2019 pakt Kelly weer uit met het beproefde recept maar hij richt zich meer op de electronica. Herhaaldelijk komt een Kraftwerk-sound langs en schuift de groove in de richting van de dansvloer. Langzaam sluipt er house en techno in Soul Ballet...
