The 28th compilation: Turn it on

I realise that only few people speak Dutch, but even the ones that do won't understand the Belgian song on this compilation. "Ik ben moe" ("I'm tired") is sung in a quiet incomprehensable dialect. And the song is performed by a local artist who seems to have an identity crisis. Some days he's a pop/rock singer, other days he's a rapper. This is Flip Kowlier's only song that has a jazzy feel to it.

And the Dutch performance is even weirder: Hans Teeuwen is a famous stand up comediant (and not funny in my opinion) who all of a sudden recorded an album with Frank Sinatra songs. But I have to admitt his "The Best Is Yet To Come" is not bad at all.

"When Love Calls" by Atlantic Starr, and "Disco Connection" by Isaac Hayes really get me going... Where Johnny Guitar Watson and Gil Scott Heron seem to disagree...

I hope you enjoy the music, and have a nice weekend...
