The Beautiful Big Bad Voodoo Daddy Deluxe

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is een eigentijdse swing-band uit Zuid- Californie. Hun opvallendste singleszijn "Go Daddy-O", "You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby)", en "Mr. Pinstripe Suit".

De band werd opgericht in Ventura (Californie) in 1989 door Scotty Morris en Kurt Sodergren. In het begin speelden ze swing uit de 40s en '50s, in clubs en lounges.
Ze brachten op hun eigen label (Big Bad Records) twee CDs uit:Big Bad Voodoo Daddy en Watchu' Want for Christmas? maar de doorbraak kwam pas de songs "You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby)" en "Go Daddy-O" uit de cult comedy Swingers uit 1996.
Vanaf toen tekenden ze bij Capitol Records en brachten drie albums uit: Americana Deluxe, This Beautiful Life, en Save My Soul.

De band bleef toeren, optreden en albums uitbrengen. Ze namen een eigen versie op van het thema uit de sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun (voor het seizoen 1999-2000), en ze schreven onlangs o.a. het titelthema voor de film The Wild.
