The 34th BoBW jazz funk compilation
Sometimes I do have a very cheap taste, I admit. How else could you explain the presence of MC Mong, the South Korean hip hip artist, on this compilation? The song "Ice Cream" is so ridiculous it's funny again. And I happen to like it.And the Belgian band Vive la Fete is such a farce too. They want to be Francoise Hardy and Robert Smith at the same time. Hilarious.
For the more serious music you have to focus on James Blood Ulmer, Jean Luc Ponty and Stanley Clarke this week.
But the best song on this compilation is Will Downing's "A Love Supreme" without any doubt, and "Sideshow" by Barry Biggs.
Enjoy the music once again, and have a nice weekend...
