The 40th BoBW jazz funk compilation
40. That is some achievement, I may say. As well in compilations, as in age.Therefor I collected some big names: Chic (with a special version of "Good Times"), Chuck Mangione, Luther Vandross (with an uptempo song)...
Some names you might not know when you live across the ocean. Ever heard of the German female trio Silver Convention? They had a huge pan-European disco smash hit with "Fly Robin fly". It still sounds good actually. Heaven 17 where acceptable in the 80's with "Let me go", and they still are.
And the Dutch lounge duo Gare du Nord, and the Belgian chanteuse Claude Maurane will never go out of fashion. Mark my words... And do listen to Delegation and Crown Heights Affair.
Enjoy the music, and have a nice weekend...
